Volunteer with the BOLD INK WRITERS PROGRAM

Help boys write their way to brilliant futures.

Bold Ink Writers is a program of WriteGirl. WriteGirl is a creative writing and mentoring organization for teen girls in Los Angeles, founded in 2001. WriteGirl pairs professional women writers with teen girls for creative writing workshops and mentoring. Read more about WriteGirl here.

Now we invite you to join our exciting program for teen boys! Teen boys need role models, mentors, leadership skills and positive support to give them tools and strategies for managing the challenges they face in their communities, at school and at home. The Bold Ink Writers program offers creative writing as a vehicle for self-expression and personal development in a group setting, with accomplished writers as workshop leaders.

Our workshops and events are designed to help young people cultivate their creative voices and develop the communication skills they need to attain academic and professional success.

Bold Ink Writers workshops will take place in a variety of settings in the Los Angeles region, from community centers to detention camps, with a focus on helping underserved teen boys from diverse backgrounds.

Join the Bold Ink Writers program and help teen boys write their way to brilliant futures.

Once we have reviewed your application, we will contact you with more information about the next training and orientation available.
