WriteGirl Internships

WriteGirl is currently accepting intern applications from college students. We will start accepting applications from high school girls in May of 2015 for the summer internship program.

The WriteGirl Bold Futures Program offers an array of learning experiences. Our interns work in groups, pairs and one-on-one, and through these experiences we see natural leadership abilities emerge and grow. We see college interns guiding high school interns, and high school interns who have been with WriteGirl for several weeks, mentor and help new interns. Our volunteer pool of professional women writers participate in the program by leading small seminars and coaching sessions, with themes ranging from creative writing to job interview preparation and networking skills. We employ active listening exercises and other activities that improve communication skills, all with the goal of helping a girl realize her full potential, while growing at her own pace and in her own way. The program enhances each girl's individual capabilities, recognizing that all girls are different but that each has something to give and something to gain. In 2012-2013, WriteGirl welcomed over 20 high school and college students to participate as interns.
